Wednesday the 4th of march we would like to invite you to an anarcha-feminist demo prep that will be held at 17:00 at Blitz Infoshop
Despite the historical origins of Women's Liberation Day being a revolutionary act of protest against the oppressive structure of patriarchy, today's understanding of this date has been drastically transformed and integrated into the oppressive system itself - to be acceptable and non-threatening to the status quo. The depolitisized version of «a womens day» that is institutionalized by the rulling class is presented as a masquerade-parade of illusory equality success.
To make this day a truly radical day of resistance as it was intended to be, it is important to recognize the impact of harm done by exclusionary practises white liberal feminist movement have been and is enforcing throu excluding, pathologizing, alienating and demonizing women whos identity is to be found on the intersection of stratigically oppressed identities such as queer and trans women, POC women, sex workers, disabled women and migrant women . Without this acknowledgement, the feminist movement is becoming a weapon in the hands of elites using the same tactics of oppression against other groups of people, while being fully ignorant of a interconnected systems of oppression that nourish each other's monstrousity. Fundamentally important understanding of intersectionality and analysis of the power and responsibility that the privilege implies is essential for the growth of a truly powerful and united resistance.
Attempts to seek the way out of oppressive structures by siding with the oppressors at the cost of the lives of other strategically marginalised groups - IS NO WAY TO GO!
We must challenge empty liberal notions of gender equality within a generalised system of inequality. The struggle against the colonial system of cisheteropatriarchy must be both anti-state, anti-capitalist in its fundamentals. This is a day of resistance against all forms of oppression.
This commitment to a fundamental radical change requires a constant struggle against all forms of oppression, including the forms of oppression that women themselves can perpetrate, such as capitalist exploitation, internalised misogyny, the defence of the nation state and homophobic and transphobic violence.
We are not here to celebrate the right of «girlsbosses» to be as exploitative as men. We are here to fight for the freedom of all whom white supremacy, patriarchy and global capitalism opresses
.
We invite you to prepare for the demo with us, make banners, posters and come up with chants together! Materials will be provided, but feel free to bring more to share
We also invite you to join us for TA NATTA TILBAKA 7th of march (more info will come soon).
