Join the fight against greedy corporations abusing innocent animals for their fur!
On fur farms around the world, millions of minks, foxes, and chinchillas are living in tiny wire cages waiting to be gassed or electrocuted for a fur trim. Their suffering stops when fur ends. It's time to finally end this cruel industry.
Our target for this protest is Bain & Company, who have ties to the cruel fur industry via a board member shared by the Italian luxury corporation Fondazione Altagamma. Altagamma is a trade association representing Italian luxury industries. Carlo Capasa, President of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI), the organizer of Milan Fashion Week (MFW), is a board member of Altagamma, making it a protest target for the bigger MFW campaign.
Why This Works: The goal is to create mounting pressure and create tension among business and/ or social relationships. As Carlo Capasa’s connections are stressed, he will face greater pressure to use his influence and leadership role at CNMI to make MFW fur-free.
Bain & Company maintains a long-standing partnership with Fondazione Altagamma acting as Altagamma's official research partner. Bain has analyzed market data for the foundation to co-publish the highly regarded “Luxury Goods Worldwide Market Study".
We are part of an international campaign demanding that Bain & Co. urge Altagamma to cut ties with Carlo Capasa and stop being complicit in animal cruelty.
The demonstration will be a loud protest with whistles and megaphones of the duration of about 90 minutes. Signs and earplugs will be provided (bring your own earplugs if you have them!). Feel free to bring megaphones, whistles, drums, or other noisemakers. Please do not bring infants or nonhuman animals to the event.
