Join a conversation with Ali, clinical psychologist and LGBTQ+ Support Line Manager in occupied Palestine, in dialogue with Katja Holm from Queer Youth Norway´s Helpline, Ungdomstelefonen.
Ali leads an LGBTQ+ hotline offering anonymous, confidential support to people facing stigma, violence, and isolation. Working under ongoing genocide and occupation, his work includes crisis response, emotional support, volunteer training and supervision, and connecting people to safe services across the Middle East.
In this talk, Ali will share experiences from his work and reflect together with Katja on the challenges and possibilities of building queer support systems in different social and political contexts.
The talk lasts 1 hour, followed by 15 minutes of audience questions.
