BLITZ WILL STAND!
We’re so thankful for all our supporters who get us through every winter and our struggles in keeping our heating, power and house.
Again we’ve been hit with big bills, requiring money we just don’t have right now.
Although we wish money did not exist, it does. We recognize difficulties talking about money since most of us hate it, and at the same time, we are trapped in the system where we have to pay bills for electricity and heating to continue to exist
Through the year we try to help the community around us and around the world, and we want to do more solidarity shows, more activism and give more people free and cheap food and facilitate sharing of art.
In order to do that we need to keep the house lit, heated and alive.
Blitz has since 1982 been a self-driven youth house and center for radical leftwing activism in Oslo.
The house includes, among other things, Blitz Kafe which sells cheap vegan food, Radiorakel - the worlds oldest feminist radio station, the infoshop with political literature and music, the practice room for bands, space for direct action groups. And an important venue for punk, hardcore, drag and other subcultural art and expressions.
Blitz has and will always continue to be based on the do-it-yourself principle and be a creative space for everyone regardless of gender identity, skin color, sexuality, ethnicity, nationality, or religion. Blitz will always continue to fight capitalism, fascism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, zionism, and for all people being occupied and oppressed.
We’re so thankful that we have great punk musicians by our side, donating their art to help us out, so come show them some love! We all know blitz has a the best audience so come contribute to the vibes!
