SOLIDARITY ACROSS BORDERS
3rd of june, 17:00 at Blitz Infoshop
At this meeting we would like to address the increase of "anti-migration movements" and the expansion of violent carceral systems to control and criminalize people on the move. We want to highlight the interconnection of oppressive "migration regulatory systems"and how the anti-migration sentiments manifest in applied oppressive policies and practises in the western colonial empires.
.
With focus on experiences and effect on lives of people we will talk about the reality of horrible inhumane migration policies implemented in so called "usa", the current situation of anti-migrant regulations and deportation systems in europe, and dive into the local context of what (anti)migration system looks like in Norway.
.
Soon are norgesdemokratene hosting yet another conference about so called "remigration", called "remig26". To be able to fight against those racist and nationalist far-right movements, we need to know how they operate, therefore we want to create space where we investigate why these beliefs are harmful, and how they came up to exist in the first place.
.
This will gathering will serve as a conversational space of how we can see the far right sweeping into 'normal and acceptable' discourse for the masses by fearmongering and conspiratorial theories and how we can resist these tendencies.
THE PROGRAM FOR THE GATHERING IS:
17:00
